Insulin determir falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Tronadora interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of tronadora and antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia. Clinical research suggests that a combination of tronadora and Guazuma ulmifolia reduce levels of fasting glucose in patients with type 2 diabetes, including those already taking antidiabetes agents. The effect of tronadora alone is unknown. Animal research is conflicting.

Here's the simple version: Levemir (insulin detemir) already lowers your blood sugar, and Tronadora may push it down too. Stack the two together and you could end up lower than you planned. The concern here is hypoglycemia, which can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, dizziness, confusion, or feeling suddenly hungry or weak.

Now, the honesty part: this is mostly theoretical. The blood sugar drop was seen when Tronadora was paired with another plant (Guazuma ulmifolia), and what Tronadora does on its own isn't really known. The animal studies even disagree. So I wouldn't panic, but I would check your sugars a bit more closely and never adjust your insulin on your own. Loop in your pharmacist or doctor before adding Tronadora.

What Is Insulin Detemir (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Levemir

Levemir (insulin detemir) is used to improve blood sugar (glucose) control in adults and children with type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes. It is a basal insulin, meaning it works around the clock to keep background blood sugar levels steady.

Levemir is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous buildup of acids in the blood that requires a different type of insulin).
