Here's the main thing to keep in mind with Addyi (flibanserin): it already tends to make people drowsy, dizzy, or lightheaded, and it can lower your blood pressure, especially when you first start it. Yerba mansa has been used traditionally as a calming, soothing herb, and the concern on file is that pairing the two could add up to more sedation than either one alone.

I'll be honest with you, this warning is theoretical. It's based on how these substances are thought to behave, not on solid human studies, so I don't want to alarm you. Still, if you notice extra grogginess, feeling faint, or trouble staying alert, that's worth paying attention to. Before combining them, please run it by your pharmacist or doctor, and never adjust your Addyi on your own.

What Is Flibanserin Used For?

Brand name: Addyi

Addyi is approved to treat acquired, generalized hypoactive sexual desire disorder (HSDD) — a condition where low sexual desire causes significant distress or relationship difficulty — in women under 65. "Acquired" means the low desire developed after a period of normal desire; "generalized" means it happens regardless of the situation or partner.

Addyi is not intended for use in men, and it is not a sexual performance enhancer. It is also not meant for HSDD that is caused by a medical condition, a psychiatric condition, relationship problems, or another medication.
