What’s inside

Low disclosure
Ingredient Transparency · database check
Low

Most active ingredients don't disclose an individual amount — you can't tell how much of each you're getting.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 0 of its 4 active ingredients.
  • “Proprietary Blend” is a proprietary blend — the label gives one combined amount (470 mg) without saying how much of each component you get.

This liquid formula contains 4 active ingredients: a proprietary blend, fractionated coconut oil, broad-spectrum hemp distillate, steam-distilled terpenes, and full-spectrum decarboxylated raw hemp aerial parts extract. The hemp components are the main active ingredients, supplying the CBDA and CBD that give the product its name.

Coconut oil serves as a carrier oil and base. The inactive ingredients list is empty — there are no fillers or binders in this formula.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

The label doesn't state a purpose we can grade — see each ingredient's own graded uses on its monograph instead.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The data we hold doesn't establish that this product is effective for any condition. The hemp ingredient is rated insufficient evidence for constipation and eczema.

Coconut oil is similarly unproven for diabetes, high cholesterol, or weight loss. While these ingredients are studied for various uses, we don't have reliable evidence that they work for their intended purposes in supplement form.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data
Safety Information · database check
Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 2 of the 2 matched ingredients.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 2 of 2.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 2 of 2.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Coconut oil is generally well tolerated in the amounts found in food, but the data advises caution with concentrated supplement doses unless your doctor approves. Coconut can trigger allergic reactions, including rare severe ones like anaphylaxis, hives, and skin rashes — especially if you have a hypersensitivity to coconut or tree nuts.

Hemp products are generally well tolerated in food amounts, but concentrated extracts and supplements like this one are less studied. Rare serious adverse effects reported with hemp include allergic reactions and anaphylaxis, as well as isolated cases of liver enzyme elevation and hepatitis in very high doses.

There isn't enough data on pregnancy and lactation safety for the hemp ingredients to know whether they're safe during pregnancy or nursing — talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice if you're pregnant, planning pregnancy, or breastfeeding.

Why this rating?
  • 2 of the 2 matched ingredients can interact with medications — Coconut, Hemp.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs; diabetes medications.
  • For scale: 1,019 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before taking this product, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take estrogen or hormone therapy (Moderate interaction risk). Also check if you use blood pressure medications, ACE inhibitors, blood thinners, or any drug that depends on CYP1A2 or CYP3A4 enzymes in your liver, or diabetes medications — all carry Minor interaction risks with the hemp and coconut oil ingredients.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

This product may appeal to you if you're looking for a hemp-based CBD and CBDA supplement, but concentrated hemp extracts are less studied than food amounts, so proceed with caution. If you take medications for hormones, blood pressure, blood clotting, diabetes, or those processed by your liver's CYP enzymes, you'll want to check your specific medications with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

The same goes if you have a known allergy to coconut or tree nuts.

Broad-Spectrum Hemp, Distillate6 drug types · 938 drugs

Estrogens

Theoretically, hemp might interfere with hormone therapy due to its estrogenic effects.
In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)

Theoretically, consuming hemp seed protein isolate with ACE inhibitors might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Hemp seed protein hydrolysate has shown ACE inhibitor-like effects in a hypertensive animal model. However, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans. Until more is known, monitor blood pressure and potassium levels.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Antihypertensive Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed protein may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
In a hypertensive animal model, hemp seed protein hydrolysate reduced systolic blood pressure by a mechanism possibly involving the inhibition of renin and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activities. However, there was no effect of hemp seed protein on blood pressure in normotensive animals. Furthermore, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP1A2 enzymes.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP3A4 enzymes.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D

Coconut Oil, Fractionated1 drug type · 86 drugs

Antidiabetes Drugs

Theoretically, taking coconut with antidiabetes drugs might increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal research suggests that coconut milk might increase insulin levels and/or decrease blood glucose levels.

Complete CBDA + CBD Oil 25 mg by Bluebird Botanicals: Common Questions

Does Complete CBDA + CBD Oil 25 mg by Bluebird Botanicals interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Complete CBDA + CBD Oil 25 mg has a known interaction with 1,018 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Complete CBDA + CBD Oil 25 mg contains 4 active ingredients, and an interaction can come from any of them. We check every ingredient, combine the results into one list per medication, and show which ingredient and mechanism is responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
Can I take this if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
There isn't enough data on the hemp ingredients to know whether they're safe during pregnancy or lactation. Coconut oil is likely safe in food amounts during pregnancy and nursing, but we don't have reliable data for this concentrated supplement during those times. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist for personalized advice before taking it.
Is this product hypoallergenic or free of common allergens?
No. Coconut oil can cause allergic reactions, including rare severe ones like anaphylaxis and hives, especially in people with hypersensitivity to coconut or tree nuts. Hemp can also trigger allergies, though they're uncommon. If you have a known tree nut or coconut allergy, avoid this product.
What does CBDA mean, and how is it different from CBD?
CBDA and CBD are both compounds found in hemp. The data we hold doesn't establish that either one is effective for any specific health condition in supplement form. If you're considering this product for a particular reason, talk with your pharmacist about what the evidence actually shows.
Is this safe to use long-term?
The data advises caution with concentrated hemp extracts and supplements because they're less studied than food amounts of hemp. Long-term safety isn't well established. Coconut oil as a concentrated supplement also warrants caution unless your doctor approves. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this is right for you and how long you should take it.
Will this help with my constipation or eczema?
The evidence for hemp is rated insufficient to know whether it actually works for constipation or eczema. We simply don't have reliable data showing it's effective for these conditions, so we can't tell you whether it will help your situation.
