Every active ingredient lists its own amount on the label.

Why this rating?
  • The label discloses an exact amount for 1 of its 1 active ingredient.
  • No proprietary blends here — you can verify the dose of every single component.

This product contains one active ingredient: hemp extract, supplied at 750 mg per serving in a liquid form. The extract includes inactive ingredients — MCT oil (a carrier), peppermint extract, and stevia extract — which flavor and preserve the supplement but don't contribute to its active effects.

Evidence for Intended Use · database check
By FDA rules, dietary supplements can’t claim to treat, cure, or prevent disease — so labels speak in careful marketing language. We discern each product’s intended use from its name, label claims, and label statements, then grade the clinical evidence for that use. How these ratings are computed
Not assessable

This is a single-ingredient Hemp product and its label doesn't state a use — see Hemp's own graded uses on its monograph.

Why this rating?
  • We looked at the product name, claims, and label statements and couldn't find a stated purpose to grade.

The effectiveness data we hold for hemp extract doesn't establish reliable evidence for any condition. We have insufficient reliable evidence to rate its use for constipation, atopic dermatitis (eczema), or familial hypercholesterolemia (a genetic cholesterol disorder).

If you're considering this product for a specific health goal, that's a conversation to have with your doctor or pharmacist, who can weigh what research exists outside our database.

How safe is it?

Well-documented data

Well characterized

Adverse-effect, pregnancy, and general safety data are on file for most of these ingredients.

Why this rating?
  • We hold adverse-effect (side-effect) data for 1 of the 1 matched ingredient.
  • Pregnancy & breastfeeding safety ratings cover 1 of 1.
  • General safety write-ups exist for 1 of 1.
  • Remember: this measures how much safety information exists. Thin data is not the same as being safe.

Hemp seed foods in normal amounts are generally well tolerated, but concentrated extracts like this supplement are much less studied. The safety data we hold advises caution with concentrated hemp extracts due to limited research.

In rare cases, allergic reactions including anaphylaxis (severe allergic shock), facial swelling, and shortness of breath have been reported. There's also a rare case report of liver enzyme elevation and hepatitis in a young child given a very high dose of hemp extract for seizures.

Serious side effects like irregular heart rhythm (long QT syndrome) and fainting have been reported rarely.

Why this rating?
  • 1 of the 1 matched ingredient can interact with medications — Hemp.
  • The most serious interaction on file is rated Moderate.
  • Some involve high-stakes drug classes: anticoagulant / antiplatelet drugs.
  • For scale: 939 individual medications appear in the full list. A big number alone doesn't make a product dangerous — what matters is whether YOUR medication is on it, so run yours through the interaction checker on this page.

Before you take this product, double-check with your doctor or pharmacist if you use estrogen therapy or hormone replacement (Moderate interaction risk), blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs, blood pressure medications including ACE inhibitors, or any drug processed through your liver's CYP1A2 or CYP3A4 pathways — these include some statins, certain antifungals, and many others. No interactions are documented for the inactive ingredients we could check.

The bottom line

Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.

This hemp extract supplement is largely unstudied in humans, especially at concentrated doses. If you take estrogen therapy, blood thinners, blood pressure medications, or drugs metabolized by your liver, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting — the interactions are theoretical but plausible.

Even if you don't take those medications, the limited safety data means this isn't a plug-and-play product; have a conversation with your own healthcare provider first.

Estrogens

Theoretically, hemp might interfere with hormone therapy due to its estrogenic effects.
In an ovariectomized animal model, a diet containing hemp seed 1%, 2%, or 10% resulted in normalized plasma levels of 17-beta-estradiol. The mechanism of action for this effect is unclear.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Ace Inhibitors (Aceis)

Theoretically, consuming hemp seed protein isolate with ACE inhibitors might have additive effects and increase the risk of hypotension.
Hemp seed protein hydrolysate has shown ACE inhibitor-like effects in a hypertensive animal model. However, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans. Until more is known, monitor blood pressure and potassium levels.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed might increase the risk of bleeding when used concomitantly with anticoagulant/antiplatelet drugs.
In animal research, hemp seed at 5% of the diet inhibits platelet aggregation in vitro. However, in human research, taking hemp seed oil 2 grams daily for 12 weeks does not inhibit the aggregation of platelets in vitro.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Antihypertensive Drugs

Theoretically, hemp seed protein may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs.
In a hypertensive animal model, hemp seed protein hydrolysate reduced systolic blood pressure by a mechanism possibly involving the inhibition of renin and angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) activities. However, there was no effect of hemp seed protein on blood pressure in normotensive animals. Furthermore, hempseed oil consumption does not seem to reduce blood pressure in humans.

Likelihood Unlikely Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 1A2 (Cyp1A2) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP1A2 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP1A2 enzymes.

Likelihood Possible Evidence D
Cytochrome P450 3A4 (Cyp3A4) Substrates

Theoretically, hemp might decrease the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that hemp induces CYP3A4 enzymes.

Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Sweet Mint 750 mg by RLV: Common Questions

Does Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Sweet Mint 750 mg by RLV interact with any medications?
Yes. Based on its ingredients, Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Sweet Mint 750 mg has a known interaction with 938 medications. Use the checker to see how it interacts with a specific drug.
How can one product interact with so many drugs?
Full Spectrum Hemp Extract Sweet Mint 750 mg contains a single active ingredient, and that one ingredient can interact with many different medications on its own. We check it against each medication and show the mechanism responsible.
Where does this information come from?
The product label data comes from the NIH Dietary Supplement Label Database (DSLD); the interaction data is built on the Natural Medicines database and reviewed by HelloPharmacist pharmacists.
What is hemp extract, and is it the same as CBD or THC?
Hemp extract is a concentrated form made from the hemp plant, but our product facts don't specify whether this product contains CBD, THC, or other cannabinoids. If that distinction matters for you, check the label or contact the brand — it'll tell you what's actually in each dose.
Can I take this if I'm on birth control or hormone therapy?
Hemp extract may interfere with how estrogens work in your body, which could affect birth control or hormone replacement therapy. Talk with your doctor or pharmacist before adding this supplement — they'll know your specific therapy and whether the risk applies to you.
Is this safe if I'm pregnant or breastfeeding?
We don't hold safety data on this ingredient for pregnancy or lactation. Until that's established, you'll want to check with your doctor or midwife before using it — they can give you guidance tailored to your situation.
What does the product actually do — does it work for anything?
The evidence we have for hemp extract is insufficient to say it works reliably for constipation, eczema, or high cholesterol. If you're using it for another reason, check with your healthcare provider about what research supports that use.
Are there any side effects I should watch for?
Hemp extract is generally well tolerated in food amounts, but concentrated supplements are less studied. Rare allergic reactions including anaphylaxis, facial swelling, and shortness of breath have been reported. There's also a rare case of liver problems in a child given a very high dose. Stop and seek help immediately if you develop hives, swelling, or breathing trouble.
Why is this product interacting with so many medications?
The 939 medications affected reflect how many different drugs are processed by your liver's CYP1A2 and CYP3A4 enzymes — very common pathways. Hemp extract may speed up how your liver clears these drugs, potentially weakening their effects. That's why checking your specific medications is crucial.
