Mass-NP Ingredients & Drug Interactions
by PEScience
What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Mass-NP against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy
Mass-NP is a dietary supplement by PEScience with 4 active ingredients. Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Full disclosure
Mass-NP has 4 active ingredients. Hesperidin is a plant compound (flavonoid) sourced from citrus.
Corosolic acid comes from banaba leaf and may help with glucose metabolism. Cinnulin PF and 4-Hydroxyisoleucine are specialized extracts — we don't have detailed data on their individual roles.
The capsule also contains inactive ingredients: gelatin, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate, and food colorings (FD&C Blue #1, FD&C Red #40) plus titanium dioxide.
Does it work?
Couldn't assess
The evidence for this product's use is limited. Hesperidin is rated possibly ineffective for weight loss and cholesterol — the research doesn't support it for those goals.
Corosolic acid has insufficient evidence for diabetes, prediabetes, or metabolic syndrome, meaning we don't have enough reliable data to say whether it works. We don't have effectiveness ratings for Cinnulin PF or 4-Hydroxyisoleucine in our data.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
Hesperidin is generally well tolerated in food amounts and short-term use, though long-term safety data is thin. One case of allergic skin reaction was reported with topical hesperidin, but that's a rarity.
Corosolic acid also appears well tolerated in short studies, but long-term safety isn't established. Reported side effects with one banaba-containing product include dizziness, headache, tremor, weakness, stomach upset, and palpitations — though it's unclear whether banaba alone caused them or the combination with other ingredients.
During pregnancy, the safety data for hesperidin is mixed: some ratings say likely safe, others say possibly safe, but the safety notes advise against use due to insufficient information. Corosolic acid should be avoided in pregnancy and while breastfeeding — there isn't enough safety data.
Talk with your doctor or pharmacist about whether this product is right for you if you're pregnant or nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before taking Mass-NP, check with your doctor or pharmacist if you take blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs (like warfarin or aspirin), blood pressure medications, blood sugar drugs, heart medications such as verapamil, diltiazem, or celiprolol, CNS depressants (sedatives or opioids), or any medication that relies on OATP or P-glycoprotein transporters. Hesperidin and corosolic acid both have documented interactions with these drug types.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFully disclosed formula with no assessable stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
Mass-NP is not proven effective for weight loss or cholesterol, and the evidence for blood sugar control is insufficient. If you take blood thinners, blood pressure medication, diabetes medication, or the heart drugs verapamil, diltiazem, or celiprolol, you'll need to check with your doctor or pharmacist before taking this — the interactions could affect how those drugs work.
It's generally well tolerated short-term, but long-term safety is unclear, and it should be avoided in pregnancy and while breastfeeding.

Mass-NP by PEScience Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Mass-NP by PEScience contains hesperidin and corosolic acid, both of which interact with several medication types.
The most serious concern is a Moderate-severity interaction: hesperidin may increase bleeding risk if you're taking blood thinners or antiplatelet drugs like warfarin or aspirin.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Hesperidin also interacts with CNS depressants (sedatives, sleep aids, opioids) — it may add to their sedative effects, though this hasn't been reported in people. It may lower blood pressure when combined with blood pressure medications, and it can affect how your body handles certain drugs by inhibiting a transporter called P-glycoprotein.
Additionally, hesperidin may raise levels of the heart medications verapamil and diltiazem, or lower levels of celiprolol.
Corosolic acid (from banaba) also affects blood pressure medications and blood sugar drugs — it may add to their effects and potentially cause low blood pressure or low blood sugar. It may also reduce how well your body absorbs some medications that rely on a transporter called OATP.
We weren't able to check Cinnulin PF and 4-Hydroxyisoleucine for interactions. Altogether, these interactions span 818 individual medications.
Use the medication checker on this page to see if any of your drugs are on that list, and talk it over with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

For each ingredient in Mass-NP with known interactions, here are the types of medications they can affect. Open any type for the detail — or search your exact drug in the checker above.
Hesperidin
Anticoagulant/Antiplatelet Drugs
Theoretically, hesperidin may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
Animal research suggests that hesperetin, a bioflavonoid aglycone derivative of hesperidin, may have antiplatelet activity.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, taking hesperidin with antihypertensive drugs might increase the risk of hypotension.
Some clinical and animal research shows that hesperidin can decrease blood pressure. However, other clinical research shows that hesperidin does not affect blood pressure.
Celiprolol (Celicard)
Theoretically, hesperidin may decrease the levels and clinical effects of celiprolol.
Animal research shows that concomitant use of hesperidin may reduce the plasma area under the curve of celiprolol by up to 75%. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Cns Depressants
Theoretically, concomitant use with CNS depressants may cause additive sedative effects.
Animal studies show that hesperidin has sedative effects, due to opioid receptor activity and can increase sedation when used with diazepam. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Diltiazem (Cardizem, Others)
Theoretically, hesperidin may increase the levels and clinical effects of diltiazem.
Animal research suggests that hesperidin may enhance the bioavailability of diltiazem, increasing the plasma area under the curve of diltiazem by up to 65.3%. This effect has not been reported in humans.
P-Glycoprotein Substrates
Theoretically, hesperidin might inhibit P-glycoprotein-mediated drug efflux and potentially increase levels of drugs that are substrates of P-glycoprotein.
In vitro research shows that hesperidin can inhibit P-glycoprotein efflux. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Verapamil (Calan, Others)
Theoretically, hesperidin might increase the levels and clinical effects of verapamil.
Animal research suggests that hesperidin may enhance the bioavailability of verapamil, increasing the plasma area under the curve of verapamil by 96.8%. This effect has not been reported in humans
Corosolic Acid
Antidiabetes Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of banaba and hypoglycemic drugs might have additive effects.
Human and animal research suggests that banaba can lower blood glucose levels.
Antihypertensive Drugs
Theoretically, concomitant use of banaba and antihypertensive drugs might cause additive effects.
Human and animal research suggests that banaba can lower blood pressure.
Organic Anion-Transporting Polypeptide Substrates (Oatp)
Theoretically, concomitant use of banaba with substrates of OATP might reduce the bioavailability of the OATP substrate.
In vitro research shows that banaba inhibits OATP, particularly OATP2B1. OATPs are expressed in the small intestine and liver and are responsible for the absorption of drugs and other compounds.
