What is this page for?
First and foremost: checking Probiotic 30 Billion CFU against your medications. The heart of this page is the interaction checker and the full interaction report — how this product’s ingredients may interact with prescription and over-the-counter medicines you may be taking.
Around that, we add a pharmacist’s high-level view of the product as a whole — what’s inside, the evidence for its stated use, how transparent the label is, and what safety data exists — so you can see the full picture in one place. It’s educational information from our licensed clinical databases and the clinical staff at HelloPharmacist — not medical advice — and we don’t sell or endorse products. Our editorial policy

Our pharmacy team’s full take, with four database checks built into the cards below — a summary of what is known, not a grade of the product itself.
What’s inside
Low disclosure
This product contains 16 active ingredients, most of them live bacterial strains (probiotics) and one live yeast. The bacteria include L. acidophilus, B. longum, L. bulgaricus, L. gasseri, B. breve, B. coagulans, L. rhamnosus, L. reuteri, B. lactis, L. casei, L. plantarum, B. infantis, and L. fermentum.
There's also Streptococcus thermophilus, another beneficial bacterium, and Saccharomyces boulardii, a yeast used for digestive support. The product also contains a Prebiotic FOS ingredient, which acts as food for these beneficial microbes.
The capsules also contain inactive ingredients — vegetable cellulose (the capsule material itself), rice flour, vegetable magnesium stearate, and silica — which are fillers and binders used to make the supplement.
Does it work?
Moderate evidence
The evidence for most of these strains is still being built. L. acidophilus, S. boulardii, and B. coagulans show the most promise: L. acidophilus is possibly effective for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), H. pylori infection, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, and bacterial vaginosis.
S. boulardii is possibly effective for rotaviral diarrhea, travelers' diarrhea, antibiotic-associated diarrhea, necrotizing enterocolitis, C. difficile infection, and H. pylori. B. coagulans is possibly effective for constipation and IBS.
For the other strains in this blend — B. longum, L. bulgaricus, L. gasseri, B. breve, Streptococcus thermophilus, and the ones we couldn't check — the evidence isn't established in the data we hold. Many conditions have been studied with these ingredients, but the findings haven't been strong enough to call them effective.
How safe is it?
Well-documented data
These probiotics are generally well tolerated in healthy adults and children. However, they contain live organisms, so caution is needed if you're seriously ill, have a weakened immune system, or are in intensive care — there are rare reports of these bacteria and the yeast causing bloodstream infections (bacteremia) in those settings, particularly with central lines or during critical illness.
Healthy people with intact immune systems who don't have indwelling catheters have not shown these risks. Rare gastrointestinal side effects have been reported with these strains, including abdominal discomfort, bloating, flatulence, constipation, and rarely a dry cough.
For pregnancy, B. longum and L. acidophilus are rated possibly safe, and Streptococcus thermophilus is also rated possibly safe. Data for L. bulgaricus, L. gasseri, B. breve, B. coagulans, and S. boulardii during pregnancy are not on file.
For breastfeeding, limited safety data exist across most of these strains — talk with your doctor or pharmacist before using while nursing.
Meds to double-check
Moderate interaction found
Before you take this product, double-check it with antibiotic drugs (moderate interaction across six bacterial ingredients) and antifungal medications (minor interaction with S. boulardii). Since antibiotics and antifungals can kill the live organisms in the supplement, talk with your doctor or pharmacist about timing — you'll likely need to space them several hours apart or on different days.
No other medication interactions are documented for the ingredients we could check.
The bottom line
Scorecard at a glanceFormula with limited ingredient disclosure with some supporting evidence for its stated purpose. Moderate medication interactions have been identified, and safety information is well characterized.
This blend is a reasonable option if you're interested in probiotics for digestive health and you're otherwise healthy. L. acidophilus and S. boulardii have the most established evidence for specific conditions like IBS and travelers' diarrhea.
If you take antibiotics or antifungal medications, timing matters — separate them from this product so the antibiotics or antifungals don't kill the beneficial organisms. If you're critically ill, immunocompromised, or pregnant or breastfeeding, check with your doctor or pharmacist before starting.

Probiotic 30 Billion CFU by 1 Body Drug Interactions
HelloPharmacist Interaction Report
Probiotic 30 Billion CFU by 1 Body interacts with medications through several of its bacterial ingredients.
The most serious interaction is a moderate one: L. acidophilus, B. longum, L. bulgaricus, L. gasseri, B. breve, and B. coagulans may all reduce their own effectiveness when taken together with antibiotic drugs, since antibiotics can kill the live organisms in the supplement. S. boulardii (a live yeast ingredient) has a minor interaction with antifungal medications for the same reason — the antifungal may reduce S. boulardii's viability.
Read the full breakdown — every affected drug type, severity by severity
Altogether, these interactions span 222 individual medications.
For antibiotic drugs, the effect is the same across all six bacterial ingredients: simultaneous use may decrease how well the probiotic works. The solution is straightforward — separate when you take them.
Take your antibiotic as prescribed, then wait before starting or resuming the probiotic, or take the probiotic first and delay your antibiotic dose.
We could not check L. rhamnosus, L. reuteri, B. lactis, L. casei, L. plantarum, B. infantis, L. fermentum, and Prebiotic FOS — no interaction data is on file for those ingredients. If you take any prescription medications, use the search tool on this page to check your exact drugs before you start.
