Saccharomyces boulardii is generally well tolerated in healthy adults, but the safety data comes with real caveats. It should be avoided if you're critically ill or have a weakened immune system — in rare cases, especially in intensive care patients with central lines or on broad-spectrum antibiotics, the yeast itself has caused bloodstream infections (fungemia).

Saccharomyces Boulardii S. boulardii is a unique non-pathogenic, non-colonizing probiotic yeast that supports gastrointestinal health by promoting the production of secretory Immunoglobulin A. With five billion colony-forming units per capsule and its ability to survive stomach acid, this was an ingredient we just couldn't leave out. At the time of manufacture
