Tepotinib falls under P-GLYCOPROTEIN SUBSTRATES — the group Baikal Skullcap interacts with.

Theoretically, Baikal skullcap might increase levels of drugs transported by P-glycoprotein.
In vitro and animal research suggests that baicalein, oroxylin A, and wogonin, constituents of Baikal skullcap, can inhibit P-glycoprotein. This effect has not been reported in humans.

Here's the gist for Tepmetko (tepotinib). Your body uses a kind of cellular pump called P-glycoprotein to help move this medicine around and clear it out. In lab dishes and animal studies, certain compounds in Baikal skullcap (baicalein, wogonin, and oroxylin A) seem to slow that pump down. If that same thing happened in people, a little more tepotinib could stay in your system, which in theory might mean stronger effects or more side effects like nausea, swelling in your legs or ankles, diarrhea, or tiredness.

The important part: this is only a theory from lab work, and it hasn't been shown in humans. The interaction is rated minor. Still, since you're on a cancer therapy, please run any herbal supplement past your oncologist or pharmacist before starting it.

What Is Tepotinib Used For?

Brand name: Tepmetko

Tepmetko (tepotinib) is used to treat adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) — lung cancer that has spread — whose tumors carry a specific genetic alteration called a MET exon 14 skipping mutation. A test on tumor tissue or blood is required to confirm this mutation before treatment begins.

This is a targeted therapy, meaning it works against a specific molecular driver of cancer growth rather than attacking all rapidly dividing cells.
