Tadalafil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Beta-methylphenethylamine (bmpea) interacts with.

Theoretically, BMPEA might increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that BMPEA inhibits CYP3A4 by up to 37%.

Here's the gist for Cialis (tadalafil): your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear it out. Lab studies suggest BMPEA may partly block that same enzyme (by around a third in a test tube). If that happens in real life, tadalafil could hang around longer and hit harder, meaning more chance of headache, flushing, a stuffy nose, back pain, or dizziness from a bigger drop in blood pressure.

Honestly, this is a theoretical concern based only on lab data, so we don't have human studies to confirm it. But BMPEA is also an amphetamine-like stimulant with its own heart risks, and I'd avoid it for that reason alone. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two.

What Is Tadalafil Used For?

Brand names: Cialis, Tadliq

Tadalafil tablets (including Cialis and generic tadalafil) are used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH — an enlarged prostate), or both conditions together. When used with the drug finasteride to start BPH treatment, this combination is recommended for up to 26 weeks.

Adcirca, Alyq (tablets), and Tadliq (oral suspension) are indicated specifically for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH — high blood pressure in the lungs), to improve the ability to exercise.
