STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Carbinoxamine, Pseudoephedrine
Carbinoxamine, Pseudoephedrine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Black Tea interacts with.
Black tea contains caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: this combo product contains pseudoephedrine, a decongestant that's also a stimulant. Black tea brings caffeine to the table, which is a stimulant too. Stack two stimulants together and you can amplify those jittery effects, things like a racing or pounding heart, feeling wired or restless, trouble sleeping, and a temporary bump in blood pressure. The carbinoxamine half is an antihistamine that usually causes drowsiness, so it may blunt some of this, but it won't reliably cancel it out.
This is based mostly on expert opinion, not hard studies, so it's more of a heads-up than an alarm. A cup or two of tea is unlikely to be a big deal for most people, but if you notice your heart racing or you're sensitive to caffeine, ease up and check with your pharmacist.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Carbinoxamine, Pseudoephedrine page
“Ephedra is the supplement I would rule out first for anyone taking carbinoxamine with pseudoephedrine (Rondec, Carbiset). It carries its own ephedrine-like stimulants, and stacking those on a decongestant that already raises heart rate and blood pressure invites real cardiovascular trouble.”
