STIMULANT DRUGS
Why this applies to Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine
Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine falls under STIMULANT DRUGS — the group Black Tea interacts with.
Black tea contains caffeine. Due to the central nervous system (CNS) stimulant effects of caffeine, concomitant use with stimulant drugs can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Interaction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports..
Here's the simple version: the medicine in Actifed has two parts, and one of them, pseudoephedrine, is a decongestant that already acts like a mild stimulant. Black tea brings caffeine to the table, which is also a stimulant. Stack the two together and you may feel those effects add up, things like a racing or pounding heart, jitteriness, trouble sleeping, or a short bump in blood pressure. The triprolidine half can make some folks drowsy, so you might feel a bit of a tug-of-war too.
This is mostly based on expert reasoning rather than hard studies, so a normal cup or two probably won't cause trouble for most people. If you tend to be sensitive to caffeine or have heart or blood pressure concerns, go easy and check with your pharmacist or doctor.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Pseudoephedrine, Triprolidine page
“Ephedra is the interaction I would rule out first for anyone taking pseudoephedrine with triprolidine (Actifed, Triposed). Stacking a second stimulant on a decongestant that already raises blood pressure and heart rate invites real cardiovascular trouble, and that logic runs through most of this list, which deserves genuine care rather…”
