Betrixaban falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Borage interacts with.

Theoretically, borage seed oil may increase the risk of bleeding if used with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.
In healthy individuals, borage seed oil supplementation does not seem to affect platelet aggregation. However, gamma-linolenic acid, a constituent of borage seed oil, seems to decrease platelet aggregation by 45% and increase the risk of bleeding by 40% in animal and clinical research.

Here's the simple version: betrixaban (Bevyxxa) is a blood thinner that already lowers your blood's ability to clot. Borage seed oil contains GLA, which may make your platelets a little stickier than normal, or rather a little less sticky. Stacked on top of betrixaban, the worry is that the two together could thin your blood a bit more than intended.

What that could look like in real life is easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or bleeding that takes longer to stop. I'll be honest though, this is mostly theoretical and based on limited, lower-quality research. In healthy people, borage didn't clearly change platelet activity. Still, since betrixaban is a serious medication, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding borage.
