Ethinyl estradiol, Levonogestrel falls under HEPATOTOXIC DRUGS — the group Camphor interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of camphor with other hepatotoxic drugs might increase the risk of liver damage.
There have been a few case reports of transient elevations in liver enzymes in adults after oral or topical use of camphor. There has also been one case of hepatotoxicity in an infant after topical camphor use.

Here's the gist with Lybrel (your ethinyl estradiol and levonorgestrel birth control pill) and camphor. The concern isn't about your pill working better or worse, or about blocking any enzyme. It's simply that both can put a little extra workload on the liver. Birth control pills are processed by the liver and, in rare cases, can nudge liver enzymes up. Camphor has been linked to a few brief liver enzyme bumps too. Stacking two things that lean on the liver could, in theory, add up.

I want to be honest: this is a theoretical concern based on how these work, not a proven, common problem. Used as directed on the skin in small amounts, camphor is unlikely to cause trouble. Never swallow camphor. If you notice yellowing skin, dark urine, or belly pain, check with your doctor or pharmacist.
