In vitro and animal research shows that cannabidiol inhibits CYP3A4. In human studies and case reports, cannabidiol has been associated with an increase in plasma levels of the CYP3A4 substrates zonisamide, tacrolimus, everolimus, citalopram, midazolam, and methadone.

Here's the gist for the oral forms of testosterone undecanoate (like Jatenzo or Kyzatrex): your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to help break this medicine down. CBD can slow that enzyme down, so testosterone could clear out a bit more slowly and build up to higher levels than expected.

In real terms, more testosterone floating around could mean stronger side effects, things like acne, oily skin, mood swings, fluid retention, or a rise in blood pressure or red blood cell counts. This isn't a reason to panic, and the effect is likely small for most people, but it's worth a heads-up. Please loop in your pharmacist or doctor before mixing the two so they can keep an eye on your levels and how you feel.

About Testosterone Injection

What Is Testosterone Injection Used For?

Brand names: Andriol, Aveed, Jatenzo, Kyzatrex

Testosterone injection is primarily used in men whose bodies do not produce enough testosterone on their own — a condition called hypogonadism. This includes primary hypogonadism (a problem with the testicles themselves, such as from injury, infection, or surgery) and hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (caused by problems in the brain's hormone signaling from the hypothalamus or pituitary gland). It is also used to stimulate puberty in carefully selected adolescent males with clearly delayed puberty who have not responded to other support.

Testosterone Enanthate Injection is also approved for use in women with advanced, inoperable metastatic breast cancer (specifically skeletal metastases) who are one to five years past menopause, or in premenopausal women with hormone-responsive breast cancer who have had their ovaries removed. This use should be directed by an oncologist. Aveed (testosterone undecanoate) is specifically approved for male hypogonadism only.
