Chrysin + Apomorphine
Apomorphine brand names: Uprima, Apokyn, APO-go, APO-go Pen, APO-go PFS.
Chrysin has a minor interaction with Apomorphine. Theoretically, chrysin might increase the clearance of drugs that are UGT1A1 substrates, thereby reducing their effectiveness.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS
Why this applies to Apomorphine
Apomorphine falls under GLUCURONIDATED DRUGS — the group Chrysin interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that chrysin might induce UDP-glucuronosyltransferase 1A1 (UGT1A1).
Interaction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans..
Here's the gist with chrysin and your apomorphine. Apomorphine is partly cleared from your body by a liver process called glucuronidation (specifically a step involving an enzyme called UGT1A1). In test-tube research, chrysin appears to speed up that enzyme. In theory, faster clearance could mean a little less apomorphine sticking around, which might make it slightly less effective at controlling your 'off' episodes (the stiffness, slowness, or trouble moving that this drug is meant to relieve).
The reassuring part: this is only laboratory evidence, the interaction is rated minor and unlikely, and the body absorbs very little chrysin to begin with. So a real-world problem is doubtful. Still, since apomorphine matters for your day-to-day movement, please run any chrysin supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.

What These Ratings Mean
Every interaction above is graded three ways — here’s the key to each label.
Clinically significant. Avoid the combination, or use only under close professional supervision.
Usually worth avoiding or managing — may need monitoring, a dose change, or timing apart.
Generally not serious. Be aware of it and mention it to your pharmacist.
- LikelyWell-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.
- AHigh-quality meta-analysis (quantitative systematic review).
- BCase-control study.
- CConsensus.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Apomorphine page
“Apomorphine is often used as a rescue treatment for sudden "off" episodes in Parkinson's disease, which makes a reliable dose worth protecting, and this is a list to read with real care rather than skim. Of the 67 supplements and herbs on file, two carry a major rating: St.”

About Chrysin
What is Chrysin?
- Bodybuilding and testosterone support
- Anxiety and stress
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antioxidant support
- Prostate health
Chrysin is a plant flavonoid sold mainly as a bodybuilding supplement claimed to raise testosterone or block estrogen, but human studies have not shown these benefits, largely because the body absorbs very little of it. Evidence for its other proposed uses is mostly limited to laboratory and animal research, so its real-world value is unclear. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
About Apomorphine Injection
What Is Apomorphine Injection Used For?
Brand names: Uprima, Apokyn, APO-go, APO-go Pen, APO-go PFS
Apomorphine Injection treats “off” episodes in advanced Parkinson's disease. These are periods of poor movement and stiffness, sometimes called hypomobility. They include “end-of-dose wearing off” and unpredictable “on/off” episodes.
It is used for acute, intermittent treatment, meaning as-needed treatment of episodes as they happen. It has been studied as an add-on to other Parkinson's medicines.
