Chrysin + Methyltestosterone
Methyltestosterone brand names: Metandren, Android 10, Oreton, Testred, Methitest, and others.
Chrysin has a minor interaction with Methyltestosterone. Theoretically, chrysin might increase the effects and adverse effects of testosterone.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
TESTOSTERONE
Why this applies to Methyltestosterone
Methyltestosterone falls under TESTOSTERONE — the group Chrysin interacts with.
In vitro research suggests that chrysin and its sulfate conjugate inhibit testosterone metabolism. It is speculated that chrysin and its sulfate conjugate reduce the metabolism of testosterone by inhibiting cytochrome P450 3A4. This effect has not been reported in humans.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist for chrysin and methyltestosterone. In lab and test-tube studies, chrysin appears to slow down an enzyme called CYP3A4, which is one of the pathways your body uses to clear testosterone. If that pathway is blocked, the theory is that more methyltestosterone could hang around, slightly boosting both its effects and its side effects. With this drug, that could mean things like acne, oily skin, mood changes, fluid retention, or unwanted hormonal shifts.
That said, I want to be honest about the evidence. This has only been seen in the lab, never confirmed in real people, and the body absorbs very little chrysin to begin with. So it's a small, mostly theoretical concern. Still, before combining them, check with your pharmacist or doctor.

What These Ratings Mean
Every interaction above is graded three ways — here’s the key to each label.
Clinically significant. Avoid the combination, or use only under close professional supervision.
Usually worth avoiding or managing — may need monitoring, a dose change, or timing apart.
Generally not serious. Be aware of it and mention it to your pharmacist.
- LikelyWell-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.
- AHigh-quality meta-analysis (quantitative systematic review).
- BCase-control study.
- CConsensus.
- DAnecdotal evidence.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Methyltestosterone page
“Liver strain dominates this list, and it warrants real wariness before pairing supplements with methyltestosterone (Android, Testred, Methitest). This oral hormone is already hard on the liver by itself, and 38 of the 73 supplement ingredients on file carry their own liver toxicity, stacking injury on the same organ.”

About Chrysin
What is Chrysin?
- Bodybuilding and testosterone support
- Anxiety and stress
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antioxidant support
- Prostate health
Chrysin is a plant flavonoid sold mainly as a bodybuilding supplement claimed to raise testosterone or block estrogen, but human studies have not shown these benefits, largely because the body absorbs very little of it. Evidence for its other proposed uses is mostly limited to laboratory and animal research, so its real-world value is unclear. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
