Chrysin + Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen brand names: Motrin, Children's Motrin, Advil, Children's Advil, Fenbid Forte Gel, and others.
Chrysin has a moderate interaction with Ibuprofen. Theoretically, chrysin might increase the risk of bleeding when taken with anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
Why this applies to Ibuprofen
Ibuprofen falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS — the group Chrysin interacts with.
In vitro evidence suggests that chrysin might inhibit platelet aggregation.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind with this pairing. Ibuprofen already nudges your platelets, the tiny cells that help your blood clot, to be a little less sticky. That's part of why it can sometimes cause stomach upset, bruising, or bleeding. In lab dishes, chrysin appears to do something similar by slowing platelet clumping. So stacking the two together could, in theory, add up to a slightly higher bleeding risk.
I want to be honest about how soft this evidence is. This concern comes only from test-tube research, not real people, and your body absorbs very little chrysin to begin with. For most folks it's likely a small issue, but if you bruise easily, take blood thinners, or notice unusual bleeding, check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Ibuprofen page
“Most people treat ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin) as an everyday pain reliever, which is exactly why this list of 286 interacting supplements deserves real attention rather than a shrug. The dominant pattern by far is bleeding: 202 of these ingredients can add to the bleeding and stomach irritation ibuprofen already causes, and the seven maj…”

About Chrysin
What is Chrysin?
- Bodybuilding and testosterone support
- Anxiety and stress
- Anti-inflammatory
- Antioxidant support
- Prostate health
Chrysin is a plant flavonoid sold mainly as a bodybuilding supplement claimed to raise testosterone or block estrogen, but human studies have not shown these benefits, largely because the body absorbs very little of it. Evidence for its other proposed uses is mostly limited to laboratory and animal research, so its real-world value is unclear. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using it.
About Ibuprofen
What Is Ibuprofen Used For?

Over-the-counter ibuprofen products (tablets, capsules and others) temporarily relieve minor aches and pains from headache, toothache, backache, muscular aches, the common cold, menstrual cramps and minor arthritis pain. They also temporarily reduce fever.
Prescription ibuprofen tablets are used for signs and symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and osteoarthritis, mild to moderate pain, and primary dysmenorrhea (painful periods). Caldolor (intravenous) is used in adults and children 3 months and older for mild to moderate pain, moderate to severe pain along with opioid medicines, and fever. Ibuprofen Lysine (intravenous) is used only to close a patent ductus arteriosus (PDA, a heart vessel that stays open) in certain premature infants.

Ibuprofen Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Ibuprofen as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Chrysin — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
