These two interact in 2 distinct ways. Each one is explained separately below.
Why Are There 2 Interactions?
Cnidium interacts with whole categories of medication. Aspirin, Diphenhydramine, Phenylpropanolamine falls into 2 of those categories, so it can interact with Cnidium in 2 different ways. We’ve listed each one below — your overall risk is driven by the most serious of them (Moderate).
CNS DEPRESSANTS
1 of 2Why this applies to Aspirin, Diphenhydramine, Phenylpropanolamine
Aspirin, Diphenhydramine, Phenylpropanolamine falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Cnidium interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The product you're asking about already contains diphenhydramine (the same ingredient as Benadryl), which on its own makes most people drowsy. In lab and animal studies, cnidium has shown calming, sleep-inducing effects of its own, likely tied to its natural coumarin compounds. So the worry here is simple addition: pairing the two could leave you more sedated than expected, with extra grogginess, dizziness, a foggy head, or trouble staying alert to drive.
Keep in mind this is a theoretical concern based only on laboratory work, not human studies, so it may not amount to much. Still, since this medicine is meant for nighttime use and already causes sleepiness, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS
2 of 2Aspirin, Diphenhydramine, Phenylpropanolamine also falls under ANTICOAGULANT/ANTIPLATELET DRUGS.
Some anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs include aspirin, clopidogrel (Plavix), dalteparin (Fragmin), enoxaparin (Lovenox), heparin, ticlopidine (Ticlid), warfarin (Coumadin), and others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
The combo product you're asking about contains aspirin, which on its own thins the blood by keeping platelets from sticking together. Cnidium, mainly through a compound called osthole, appears to do something similar in lab studies, slowing clotting and platelet activity. Put them together and, in theory, you could lean a little harder on the bleeding side: think easier bruising, nosebleeds, bleeding gums, or a cut that takes longer to stop.
I want to be honest about the evidence here. This is based on test tube and animal research, not real-world human studies, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. The diphenhydramine and phenylpropanolamine pieces aren't really involved. Still, if you take this regularly or have any bleeding concerns, check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding cnidium.
