Naltrexone Hydrochloride, Oxycodone Hydrochloride falls under CNS DEPRESSANTS — the group Cnidium interacts with.

In laboratory research, cnidium has been shown to have sedative and hypnotic effects, possibly related to constituent coumarins. Theoretically, cnidium may potentiate the effects of barbiturates, other sedatives, and anxiolytics.

Troxyca ER combines oxycodone, a strong opioid painkiller, with naltrexone, which is built into the capsule to deter misuse. The oxycodone part is what can make you sleepy, slow your breathing, and dull your alertness. Here's the concern with cnidium: in lab and animal studies, its coumarin compounds (like osthole) showed sedative effects of their own.

So the worry is simply adding sedation on top of sedation. Pairing the two could leave you more drowsy, foggy, or short of breath than the oxycodone alone. I'll be honest though, this is only a theoretical concern based on lab work, not proven in people. Still, because oxycodone is a potent opioid, it's worth running this by your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.
