Here's the simple version: your Zituvimet already contains two blood sugar lowering medicines, sitagliptin and metformin. Corn silk, based mostly on animal studies, may also nudge blood sugar down a little on its own. Stack the two together and, in theory, your levels could dip lower than expected.

I want to be honest about the strength of the evidence here. This is a theoretical concern from mouse research, not something proven in people, so please don't be alarmed. If you do add corn silk tea or extract, just keep an eye out for signs of low blood sugar (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, feeling hungry or confused) and check your glucose more often at first. A quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before starting is the safest move.
