Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Muraglitazar
Muraglitazar falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Cucumber interacts with.
Animal research shows that cucumber seed extract can decrease blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: Muraglitazar is a medicine designed to lower blood sugar in people with diabetes. The thinking here is that concentrated cucumber seed extract might also nudge blood sugar a little lower on its own, so stacking the two could push your sugar down further than expected. That's called an additive effect, and the main concern would be low blood sugar (hypoglycemia), which can feel like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or a racing heartbeat.
I want to be honest about how shaky this evidence is. It comes only from animal and lab studies, not people, so it's more of a theoretical caution than a proven problem. Eating cucumber as a regular food is very unlikely to matter. If you're using a concentrated cucumber seed supplement, just keep an eye on your blood sugar and check with your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Muraglitazar page
“I read this list with genuine care, because muraglitazar (Pargluva) lowers blood sugar to treat type 2 diabetes, and 239 of the 256 supplements here can push that same lever. Most add to its effect and raise the risk of hypoglycemia, meaning blood sugar dropping too low; a smaller share, niacin among them, push sugar up instead.”

About Cucumber
What is Cucumber?
- Hydration and skin care
- Cooling and soothing puffy eyes

Muraglitazar Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Muraglitazar as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Cucumber — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
