Here's the simple version: some lab and animal studies hint that cucumber seed extract might nudge blood sugar down a little. If that effect carried over to people, it could add to what your metformin is already doing, meaning your blood sugar could dip lower than expected. Watch for the usual low-sugar signs like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, or feeling suddenly hungry or foggy.

Now, the honest part. This is only a theoretical concern based on animal research, not human studies. Eating cucumber in a salad is not going to cause trouble. A concentrated cucumber seed supplement is the bigger question mark. If you plan to take one regularly, mention it to your pharmacist or doctor and keep an eye on your glucose readings.
