Cucumber + Glucose
Glucose brand name: IV Glucose.
Cucumber has a moderate interaction with Glucose. Theoretically, cucumber seed might have additive effects with antidiabetes drugs and may increase the risk of hypoglycemia.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Glucose
Glucose falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Cucumber interacts with.
Animal research shows that cucumber seed extract can decrease blood glucose levels. Monitor blood glucose levels closely.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the thing to keep in mind: glucose, whether you're taking it by mouth or getting it through an IV, is basically sugar used to raise blood sugar when it's running low. Concentrated cucumber seed extract, on the other hand, may gently lower blood sugar, at least that's what early animal studies hint at. So in theory the two pull in opposite directions, and a lot of cucumber could blunt some of the rise in blood sugar you're counting on from glucose.
Honestly, this is very weak, lab-and-animal-only evidence, and normal cucumber in a salad is mostly water and won't matter. Only concentrated seed supplements are even a question. If you rely on glucose to treat lows, just check your levels and run any cucumber supplement past your pharmacist or doctor first.

This page covers Cucumber only. If you take other supplements — a multivitamin, a sleep aid, something for joints — the Glucose page lists 256 supplements it has a documented interaction with, worst first, each one explained.
The most serious there right now: Activated Charcoal (major), Siberian Cocklebur (major), Acai (moderate), African Wild Potato (moderate) and Agaricus Mushroom (moderate).
By severity: 2 major · 215 moderate · 39 minor.
From our pharmacist’s overview on the Glucose page
“Glucose given by IV raises a dangerously low blood sugar, and this list warrants real caution because most of its 256 ingredients pull the other way. Nearly all of them lower blood sugar on their own, working against the treatment and setting up another crash.”

About Cucumber
What is Cucumber?
- Hydration and skin care
- Cooling and soothing puffy eyes
- Mild diuretic effect
- Antioxidant support
- Digestive comfort
Cucumber is a common food vegetable that is mostly water and is generally safe to eat. As a supplement or skincare ingredient it is popular for hydration and soothing the skin, but solid human research showing health benefits beyond basic nutrition is limited.

Glucose Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Glucose as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Cucumber — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
