Ribociclib Succinate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Dhea interacts with.

Theoretically, DHEA might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Some preliminary evidence shows that DHEA may inhibit CYP3A4; however, the clinical significance of this potential interaction is not known.

Here's the gist for Kisqali (ribociclib). Your body clears this breast cancer medicine largely through a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. There's some early, fairly weak lab evidence that DHEA might slow that same enzyme down. If that did happen, ribociclib could build up a bit higher than expected, which in theory could mean more side effects like nausea, fatigue, low white blood cell counts, or changes on the heart tracing (QT prolongation) that your team already watches for.

I'll be honest, this is mostly theoretical and not well proven, so I wouldn't panic. But DHEA is also a hormone your body turns into estrogen, and your cancer is hormone-driven, so that's a real reason to pause. Please check with your oncology pharmacist or doctor before adding DHEA.

What Is Ribociclib Used For?

Brand name: Kisqali

Kisqali (ribociclib) tablets are used in adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. For early breast cancer (stage II or III, at high risk of coming back), Kisqali is given alongside an aromatase inhibitor as adjuvant treatment — meaning treatment after initial surgery to reduce the risk of the cancer returning.

For advanced or metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread), Kisqali is used in combination with either an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant — as the first hormonal treatment tried, or after the cancer has grown despite prior hormone therapy.
