Esomeprazole, Naproxen falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Dhea interacts with.

Theoretically, DHEA might increase the levels of drugs metabolized by CYP3A4.
Some preliminary evidence shows that DHEA may inhibit CYP3A4; however, the clinical significance of this potential interaction is not known.

Vimovo combines two medicines: esomeprazole (a stomach acid reducer) and naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever). Both can be broken down in part by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. The idea here is that DHEA might slow that enzyme down a little, which could let these drugs build up slightly higher than usual in your body.

If that happened, you might notice more of naproxen's typical side effects, like stomach upset, heartburn, fluid retention, or higher blood pressure. Honestly though, this is only a theoretical concern based on weak, anecdotal evidence, and naproxen is mostly handled by other enzymes anyway. The real-world impact is likely small. Still, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before adding DHEA, especially if you take Vimovo daily.

Vimovo combines two medicines: naproxen (an anti-inflammatory pain reliever) and esomeprazole (a stomach acid blocker added to protect your gut). Here's the thing to keep an eye on. Naproxen on its own can already irritate the stomach lining and make you bleed or bruise more easily. DHEA may add a little to that bleeding tendency because lab and some human research suggests it can make platelets (the cells that help your blood clot) slightly less sticky.

I want to be honest about the strength of this: it's mostly theoretical and based on lab work, so for most folks it's a minor concern, not a red alert. Still, watch for signs like unusual bruising, nosebleeds, dark or bloody stools, or stomach pain. Before combining them, check with your pharmacist or doctor.
