Ribociclib Succinate falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Moringa interacts with.

Theoretically, moringa might increase or decrease levels of CYP3A4 substrates.
Some in vitro research suggests that moringa inhibits cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4). However, other in vitro research suggests that moringa extract induces CYP3A4 enzymes. A pharmacokinetic study in patients with HIV shows no change in the pharmacokinetics of nevirapine, which is partially metabolized by CYP3A4, when administered concomitantly with moringa leaf powder 1.85 grams daily for 14 days.

Here's the situation with Kisqali (ribociclib) and moringa. Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break ribociclib down. Moringa might nudge that enzyme, but the lab studies pull in opposite directions: some suggest it slows the enzyme (which could let ribociclib build up, raising the risk of side effects like nausea, low white blood cell counts, or heart rhythm changes such as QT prolongation), while others suggest it speeds the enzyme up (which could lower ribociclib levels and weaken its cancer-fighting effect).

Honestly, this is mostly theory from test-tube work, and one human study with another drug showed no real change. Ribociclib is too important to leave to guesswork, though. Please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding moringa supplements.

What Is Ribociclib Used For?

Brand name: Kisqali

Kisqali is used to treat adults with hormone receptor (HR)-positive, HER2-negative breast cancer. For early breast cancer (stage II or III, at high risk of recurrence), Kisqali is used together with an aromatase inhibitor as adjuvant treatment — meaning it's given after initial treatment to help reduce the chance the cancer comes back.

For advanced or metastatic breast cancer (cancer that has spread), Kisqali is used in combination with either an aromatase inhibitor or fulvestrant — either as the first hormone-based treatment or after the cancer has progressed on another hormone therapy.
