Moringa + Levothyroxine
Levothyroxine brand names: Euthyrox, Levothroid, Unithroid, Synthroid, Levoxyl, and others.
Moringa has a moderate interaction with Levothyroxine. Theoretically, moringa leaf can antagonize the effects of levothyroxine.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
LEVOTHYROXINE (Synthroid, others)
Animal research suggests that moringa aqueous leaf extract might reduce serum triiodothyronine (T3) concentrations by inhibiting the peripheral conversion of thyroxine (T4) to T3.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist with moringa and your levothyroxine. Your body converts the T4 in levothyroxine into the more active T3 form out in your tissues. There's a hint from animal studies that concentrated moringa leaf extract might slow that T4-to-T3 step, which could in theory blunt some of the benefit you get from your dose. If that happened, you might notice the old low-thyroid symptoms creeping back, like fatigue, feeling cold, constipation, or weight changes.
I want to be honest though: this is theoretical and based only on animal research, not solid human data. Sprinkling moringa in food is unlikely to matter much. Higher-dose supplements are where I'd be more cautious. Levothyroxine is a finicky, narrow-margin medication, so before adding a moringa supplement, run it by your pharmacist or doctor first.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Levothyroxine page
“Levothyroxine replaces a hormone your body measures in tiny amounts, so small shifts in its blood level show up in how you feel, and I treat this list with genuine care. Nearly everything on it does one of two things: blocks the pill from being absorbed in the gut, the way everyday minerals like calcium do by binding it into complexes,…”

About Moringa
What is Moringa?
- Nutritional supplement
- Blood sugar support
- Cholesterol support
- Inflammation
- Skin conditions
Moringa is a nutrient-rich plant whose leaves are widely used as a food and supplement, especially in parts of the world where malnutrition is common. Early research hints at possible benefits for blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation, but the human evidence is limited and not strong enough to recommend it as a treatment. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using moringa, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications.
About Levothyroxine
What Is Levothyroxine Used For?
Brand names: Euthyrox, Levothroid, Unithroid, Synthroid, Levoxyl, Levo-T, Eltroxin, Estre, Levothyroxine, Novothyrox, Levolet
Levothyroxine replaces or supplements the thyroid hormone your body isn't making enough of. It's used for hypothyroidism — an underactive thyroid — in adults, children, and even newborns, whether the cause is the thyroid gland itself, the pituitary gland, or the hypothalamus in the brain.
It's also used alongside surgery and radioiodine treatment in people with certain types of thyroid cancer, to help suppress the hormone that can stimulate cancer growth. It is not meant for weight loss, treating benign thyroid nodules in people who have enough iodine, or for hypothyroidism during recovery from a temporary condition called subacute thyroiditis.
