Moringa + Insulin (rDNA)
Insulin (rDNA) brand names: Humalog, Humalog Mix 75/25, Humulin R, Humulin N, Humulin L, and others.
Moringa has a minor interaction with Insulin (rDNA). Theoretically, moringa might have additive effects when used with antidiabetes drugs; however, research is conflicting.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Insulin (rDNA)
Insulin (rDNA) falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Moringa interacts with.
Animal research shows that moringa can lower blood glucose levels. However, research in humans has not shown consistent blood glucose lowering effects.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: moringa may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own. So if you're already using insulin (like Humalog or Humulin R), there's a chance the two could add together and push your sugar a little lower than insulin alone would. In real life, that might show up as the usual signs of low blood sugar, things like shakiness, sweating, dizziness, hunger, or feeling foggy.
I want to keep this in perspective, though. The evidence here is weak. Animal studies suggest moringa lowers glucose, but human studies have been inconsistent, so this may not amount to much for many people. If you'd like to try moringa, just check your numbers a bit more closely at first and talk with your pharmacist or doctor before changing any insulin dose.

About Moringa
What is Moringa?
- Nutritional supplement
- Blood sugar support
- Cholesterol support
- Inflammation
- Skin conditions
Moringa is a nutrient-rich plant whose leaves are widely used as a food and supplement, especially in parts of the world where malnutrition is common. Early research hints at possible benefits for blood sugar, cholesterol, and inflammation, but the human evidence is limited and not strong enough to recommend it as a treatment. Talk with your pharmacist or doctor before using moringa, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications.

Insulin lispro injection is used to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in people with diabetes mellitus. It is a rapid-acting insulin analog approved for use in both type 1 and type 2 diabetes.
Admelog is specifically indicated to improve glycemic control in patients with diabetes mellitus. Humalog Mix75/25 is indicated to improve glycemic control in adults with diabetes mellitus; it is a fixed-ratio mixture of insulin lispro and insulin lispro protamine, and its fixed proportions do not allow for separate adjustment of basal (background) and prandial (mealtime) doses.
