Goldthread + Sildenafil
Sildenafil brand name: Revatio.
Goldthread has a moderate interaction with Sildenafil. There's very preliminary evidence that berberine, a constituent of goldthread, might inhibit cytochrome P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) enzyme.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Sildenafil
Sildenafil falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Goldthread interacts with.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: your body relies on a liver enzyme called CYP3A4 to clear sildenafil out of your system. Goldthread contains berberine, which lab studies suggest may slow that enzyme down. If that happens, sildenafil could hang around longer and build up a bit, which means stronger effects and a higher chance of its usual side effects, things like headache, facial flushing, a stuffy nose, dizziness, or a bigger drop in blood pressure.
I want to keep this in perspective, though. This is theoretical and based on lab work, not real human reports, so it may never cause you any trouble. Still, since both can lower blood pressure, it's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before combining them.

About Sildenafil
What Is Sildenafil Used For?
Brand name: Revatio
Sildenafil treats two distinct conditions depending on the product. Viagra (tablet) and Vybrique (dissolving oral film) are approved for erectile dysfunction (ED) — difficulty getting or keeping an erection. Generic sildenafil tablets and oral film are also approved for ED.
Revatio and several generic sildenafil products (tablets, oral suspension, and injection) are used for pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs — in adults to improve exercise ability and slow the disease from getting worse. Revatio oral suspension and injection are also approved for PAH in children ages 1 to 17.
