Here's the simple version. Your medicine already contains a belladonna alkaloid, which is an anticholinergic ingredient. Henbane carries the very same kind of chemicals (hyoscyamine, scopolamine, atropine). So if you took them together, you'd basically be stacking two anticholinergic sources on top of each other, and those effects would add up.

That can mean more dry mouth, blurry vision, constipation, trouble urinating, a racing heartbeat, confusion, and overheating because you sweat less. This warning is based on how these drugs work rather than on hard studies, but the concern is reasonable since both push in the same direction. Henbane is also genuinely poisonous, so please don't pair it with your medicine. Run any plans past your pharmacist or doctor first.
