Here's the situation with Tirofiban (Aggrastat). This is a strong IV antiplatelet medicine that hospitals use during heart procedures to keep platelets from clumping and forming clots. Because it already lowers your body's ability to clot, anything else that thins the blood can add to that effect.

Lab studies hint that jiaogulan may have its own mild antiplatelet action. So in theory, taking them together could nudge your bleeding risk higher, think easier bruising, bleeding gums, or oozing at IV or puncture sites. I'll be honest: this concern comes only from test-tube research, not human studies, so it's more of a caution than a proven problem. Still, since Tirofiban is given in a controlled hospital setting, always tell your care team about any supplement you use.

What Is Tirofiban Used For?

Brand name: Aggrastat

Tirofiban hydrochloride injection — available as Aggrastat and under the generic names Tirofiban and Tirofiban Hydrochloride — is used intravenously in people with non-ST elevation acute coronary syndrome (NSTE-ACS), a type of unstable heart condition where blood flow to the heart is dangerously reduced.

The goal is to lower the combined risk of death, heart attack (myocardial infarction), or persistent ischemia (insufficient blood flow to the heart) that may require a repeat cardiac procedure.
