Theoretically, the risk for manganese toxicity might increase when taken with antipsychotic drugs.
Hallucinations and behavioral changes have been reported in a patient with liver disease who was taking haloperidol and manganese. Researchers speculate that taking manganese along with haloperidol, phenothiazine-derivatives, or other antipsychotic medications might increase the risk of manganese toxicity in some patients.

The product you're asking about contains trifluoperazine, which is a phenothiazine-type antipsychotic. Here's the honest picture: this isn't about manganese changing your drug levels or the drug changing how the medicine works in your liver. Instead, the concern runs the other way. There's a theoretical worry that combining manganese supplements with antipsychotics like trifluoperazine could make it easier for manganese to build up in some people.

I want to be clear that this is based on very weak, anecdotal evidence, mostly one report involving haloperidol in a person with liver disease. So please don't be alarmed. Too much manganese can affect the nervous system, sometimes causing tremor, stiffness, or movement changes, and trifluoperazine can cause similar movement side effects, so they could overlap. Everyday food amounts of manganese aren't the issue here. Before starting any manganese supplement, just check with your pharmacist or doctor first.
