ANTIDIABETES DRUGS
Why this applies to Dulaglutide
Dulaglutide falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Neem interacts with.
Some clinical research shows that neem can lower blood glucose levels in adults with type 2 diabetes, including those already taking metformin.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the simple version: both Trulicity (dulaglutide) and neem can lower your blood sugar. Trulicity works by helping your body release insulin and slowing down digestion, while some early research suggests neem may nudge blood sugar down on its own. Stack the two together and you could get a bit more of a drop than you bargained for.
If your blood sugar dips too low, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, irritable, or get a fast heartbeat. The good news is that this concern mostly comes from lab and small human studies, so it's a possible rather than a sure thing. Still, if you take neem regularly, keep an eye on your sugar readings and check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Dulaglutide page
“Because dulaglutide (Trulicity) already lowers blood sugar in people with type 2 diabetes, nearly every entry on this page deserves genuine respect, and one demands it outright. Almost all of these supplements pull glucose in one direction or the other, so the danger that matters most is hypoglycemia, blood sugar dropping too low.”

About Neem
What is Neem?
- Skin conditions
- Dental and gum health
- Antimicrobial and antiparasitic
- Digestive upset
- Blood sugar support
- Insect repellent/pesticide
Neem is a tree from India used for centuries in traditional medicine, especially for skin, dental, and antimicrobial purposes. Some small studies are promising for oral health and skin, but high-quality human evidence is limited for most uses. Neem oil and seed extracts can be toxic if swallowed, especially in children, so use with caution and talk to your pharmacist or doctor first.

Dulaglutide Is Linked to Lower Levels of One Nutrient
Natural Medicines records Dulaglutide as a medicine that can lower these. This is not an interaction with Neem — it is a separate effect of the medicine, and it is a reason some people are advised to supplement rather than to avoid one:
