Here's the thing to keep in mind: Tresiba (insulin degludec) already lowers your blood sugar, and neem may have its own mild blood-sugar-lowering effect. Stack the two together and your glucose could drop lower than you expect. That can show up as shakiness, sweating, a racing heart, confusion, or feeling lightheaded, the usual signs of hypoglycemia.

I want to be honest about the evidence here. Most of what we know about neem and blood sugar comes from lab and animal work, with only a little human data, so this is more of a possible concern than a proven one. Neem isn't changing how your insulin is broken down; it's just nudging sugar in the same direction. If you want to try neem, check with your pharmacist or doctor first and watch your readings more closely at the start.

What Is Insulin Degludec (rDNA Origin) Injection Used For?

Brand name: Tresiba

Insulin degludec (brands: Insulin Degludec, Tresiba) is indicated to improve glycemic control (blood sugar management) in patients 1 year of age and older with diabetes mellitus — both type 1 and type 2.

It is not recommended for treating diabetic ketoacidosis (a dangerous complication where acids build up in the blood). In patients with type 1 diabetes, it must be used together with a short-acting insulin.
