Metformin, Sitagliptin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Neem interacts with.

Here's the simple version: Janumet combines metformin and sitagliptin, and both work to lower your blood sugar. Neem may have a blood-sugar-lowering effect of its own. So when you put them together, the worry is that your sugar could drop too low. Some small studies in people with type 2 diabetes did show neem nudging glucose down, even in folks already on metformin.

If your blood sugar runs too low, you might feel shaky, sweaty, dizzy, confused, or unusually hungry. The evidence here is still pretty thin, so this isn't a guaranteed problem, but it's worth watching. Please don't stop or change anything on your own. Just check in with your pharmacist or doctor, and keep an eye on your home glucose readings if you do try neem.
