Verapamil falls under ANTIHYPERTENSIVE DRUGS — the group Nicotinamide Riboside interacts with.

Theoretically, nicotinamide riboside may have additive effects with antihypertensive drugs, potentially increasing the risk for hypotension.
One small clinical study suggests that nicotinamide riboside can modestly reduce blood pressure in hypertensive patients. However, other clinical research did not find a reduction in blood pressure when compared with control.

Here's the simple version: verapamil already lowers your blood pressure by relaxing your blood vessels and easing how hard your heart works. Nicotinamide riboside (NR) might, in theory, nudge blood pressure down a little too. Stacked together, the worry is that your blood pressure could dip lower than intended.

I want to be honest about how soft this concern is. It's based on how these things could behave, not on strong proof. One small study hinted NR slightly lowered blood pressure, while other studies showed no change at all. For most people this won't cause trouble. Still, if you notice dizziness, lightheadedness when standing, or unusual tiredness, that's worth a quick chat with your pharmacist or doctor before changing anything.

About Verapamil

What Is Verapamil Used For?

Brand names: Isoptin SR, Verelan, Isoptin, Calan SR, Verelan SR, Calan, Covera HS, Verap, Veramil

Verapamil tablets and film-coated tablets are used to treat angina — including vasospastic (Prinzmetal's) angina, unstable angina, and chronic stable angina — as well as certain abnormal heart rhythms (arrhythmias) and high blood pressure (essential hypertension). For arrhythmias, regular-release tablets are used alongside digoxin to control heart rate in atrial flutter or atrial fibrillation, and to help prevent episodes of paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (SVT), a type of rapid heartbeat.

Extended-release and sustained-release oral forms (tablets and capsules) are indicated specifically for high blood pressure. Verapamil hydrochloride injection is used in hospital settings for rapid conversion of SVT to normal rhythm and for temporary control of fast heart rates in atrial flutter or atrial fibrillation.
