Here's the simple version: noni juice has been linked, in rare case reports, to liver irritation. Bortezomib (Velcade) can also be hard on the liver in some people. So the worry isn't that noni changes how your chemo works, but that stacking two things that can stress the liver could add up and raise your risk of liver trouble.

I'll be honest, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on scattered anecdotes, not strong studies. Still, with a serious cancer treatment like this, I'd play it safe. Watch for warning signs like yellowing skin or eyes, dark urine, belly pain, or unusual tiredness, and please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding noni. Don't change your bortezomib on your own.

Bortezomib is used to treat two types of cancer in adults: multiple myeloma (a cancer of plasma cells in the bone marrow) and mantle cell lymphoma (a type of non-Hodgkin lymphoma). These indications are shared across the available products — Velcade, Boruzu, and generic bortezomib formulations.
