Here's the simple version: noni juice may nudge your blood pressure down a little on its own. Some early research in people with high blood pressure found that drinking noni lowered their numbers. Since losartan (Cozaar) is already working to bring your blood pressure down, stacking the two could add up and push it lower than you want.

If that happens, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or off-balance, especially when you stand up quickly. The good news is this is mostly theoretical and based on weak, anecdotal evidence, so for many people it won't be a big deal. Still, if you'd like to try noni regularly, check in with your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your blood pressure readings.

Theoretically, combining noni and ARBs might increase the risk of hyperkalemia.
Noni juice contains significant amounts of potassium, about 6 mEq/100 mL juice. This may increase the risk for hyperkalemia when used in conjunction with ARBs, which can also increase potassium levels.

Here's the thing to keep in mind with losartan (Cozaar): it's a blood pressure pill that tends to raise your potassium levels a bit on its own. That's normal for this whole family of drugs. Noni juice happens to be fairly rich in potassium too, roughly 6 mEq per 100 mL. So when you stack the two, the worry is that your potassium could climb higher than you'd want, a state called hyperkalemia.

To be fair, this concern is mostly theoretical and based on anecdotal reports, not strong studies. An occasional small glass likely won't cause trouble for most folks. But if you have kidney issues or drink noni daily, that's worth a conversation. High potassium can quietly cause muscle weakness or, rarely, an irregular heartbeat. Please check with your pharmacist or doctor before mixing them, and don't change your losartan on your own.

Noni is a tropical fruit used widely in folk medicine and sold mostly as a juice or supplement, but solid human evidence for its many claimed benefits is limited. While moderate juice intake is generally well tolerated, there are rare reports of liver problems, and it should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding. What Is Losartan Used For?

Brand name: Cozaar

Losartan tablets — available as branded Cozaar and several generic products — are used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children 6 years and older. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Losartan tablets are also used to reduce the risk of stroke in people with high blood pressure who also have left ventricular hypertrophy (an enlarged left side of the heart). Note: evidence suggests this stroke-risk benefit may not apply to Black patients.

Losartan tablets are additionally approved to protect the kidneys in people with type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and signs of kidney damage (diabetic nephropathy). Arbli, the oral suspension form, shares these same approved uses.
