Here's the simple version: Noni juice may nudge your blood pressure down a bit on its own. Since Valsartan is already working to lower your blood pressure, pairing the two could add up and push your numbers lower than you want. Valsartan isn't a prodrug, so this isn't about how your body activates the medicine. It's just two things pulling in the same direction.

If your blood pressure dips too low, you might feel dizzy, lightheaded, tired, or wobbly when standing up. That said, this is based on weak, anecdotal evidence, so it may not happen to you at all. Don't stop either one. Just check in with your pharmacist or doctor first, and keep an eye on your home blood pressure readings if you decide to try noni.

Theoretically, combining noni and ARBs might increase the risk of hyperkalemia.
Noni juice contains significant amounts of potassium, about 6 mEq/100 mL juice. This may increase the risk for hyperkalemia when used in conjunction with ARBs, which can also increase potassium levels.

Here's the thing to know about pairing noni with valsartan. Valsartan, like other ARBs, naturally nudges your potassium levels upward as part of how it relaxes blood vessels. Noni juice happens to be fairly rich in potassium (roughly 6 mEq per 100 mL), so drinking a lot of it on top of valsartan could push your potassium higher than you'd want.

If potassium climbs too high (a problem called hyperkalemia), it can cause muscle weakness, tiredness, or an irregular heartbeat. That said, this is a theoretical concern based mostly on anecdotal reports, not strong studies, and an occasional glass likely won't be an issue for most people. Still, if you have kidney trouble or take other potassium-raising meds, check with your pharmacist or doctor before making noni a daily habit.

Noni is a tropical fruit used widely in folk medicine and sold mostly as a juice or supplement, but solid human evidence for its many claimed benefits is limited. While moderate juice intake is generally well tolerated, there are rare reports of liver problems, and it should be avoided in pregnancy and breastfeeding. What Is Valsartan Used For?

Brand names: Diovan, Prexxartan

Valsartan treats high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children, heart failure in adults, and reduces the risk of cardiovascular death in adults who have had a heart attack and have a weakened heart muscle. Lowering blood pressure reduces the risk of stroke and heart attack.

Diovan (valsartan) tablets are approved to treat high blood pressure in children as young as 1 year old. Valsartan tablets (other brands) are approved for children 6 years and older. Valsartan oral solution is specifically indicated for patients with heart failure or post-heart attack left ventricular dysfunction who are unable to swallow tablets.
