Here's the honest picture with Twynsta (which combines telmisartan, a blood pressure medicine, with amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker) and rauwolscine. On paper, rauwolscine has been shown in lab dishes to block calcium from entering blood vessel cells, which is loosely similar to what amlodipine does. The concern on file is that the two could add up and relax your blood vessels a little too much, which might nudge your blood pressure lower than expected.

But I want to keep this in perspective. This is only theoretical, based on test-tube and animal work, not real people. In practice, rauwolscine is a stimulant that often raises heart rate and blood pressure, so its real-world effect can be unpredictable. If you take Twynsta, please check with your pharmacist or doctor before adding rauwolscine.
