Here's the gist: saw palmetto may have mild anti-estrogen activity, meaning it could work against the estrogen you're taking. If that happens, your estrogen might not do its job as well, so you could notice symptoms creeping back, things like hot flashes, night sweats, or vaginal dryness. It would not make estrogen stronger or riskier, just potentially less effective.

I want to be honest about how solid this is. The concern here is mostly theoretical and based on weaker research, so we don't truly know how often it matters in real life. I wouldn't lose sleep over it, but it's worth a quick chat with your doctor or pharmacist before adding saw palmetto, especially since it hasn't proven very helpful for most people anyway.
