Schizonepeta + Sirolimus (albumin bound)
Sirolimus (albumin bound) brand name: Fyarro.
Schizonepeta has a moderate interaction with Sirolimus (albumin bound). Animal research suggests that schizonepetin, a monoterpene constituent of schizonepeta, induces cytochrome P450 (CYP) 3A4.

Here is the interaction we found between these two, with the evidence behind it.
CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES
Why this applies to Sirolimus (albumin bound)
Sirolimus (albumin bound) falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Schizonepeta interacts with.
Some substrates of CYP3A4 include lovastatin (Mevacor), ketoconazole (Nizoral), itraconazole (Sporanox), fexofenadine (Allegra), triazolam (Halcion), and numerous others.
Interaction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
Here's the gist: your sirolimus (Fyarro) is cleared from the body by a liver enzyme called CYP3A4. In animal studies, a compound in Schizonepeta appears to speed up that enzyme. If that holds true in people, your body could break sirolimus down faster, leaving less of it around to fight the tumor. For a cancer medicine, weaker blood levels could mean it doesn't work as well as intended, which is the real worry here.
I want to be honest about the evidence, though. This is based only on lab and animal data, not human studies, so it's theoretical at this point. Still, because sirolimus is a serious cancer treatment where the dose matters, please don't add Schizonepeta without first checking with your oncology team or pharmacist.

What These Ratings Mean
Every interaction above is graded three ways — here’s the key to each label.
Clinically significant. Avoid the combination, or use only under close professional supervision.
Usually worth avoiding or managing — may need monitoring, a dose change, or timing apart.
Generally not serious. Be aware of it and mention it to your pharmacist.
- LikelyWell-controlled human studies have demonstrated the likely existence of this interaction.
- ProbableInteraction has not been documented in well-controlled studies, however, the interaction has been demonstrated in some small human studies or in controlled animal studies in conjunction with multiple case reports.
- PossibleInteraction has been documented in animal or in lab research, or the interaction has been documented in humans but is limited to case reports or conflicting clinical research exists.
- UnlikelyInteraction has been demonstrated in animal or in lab research but has been shown not to occur in humans.
- AHigh-quality meta-analysis (quantitative systematic review).
- BCase-control study.
- CConsensus.
- DAnecdotal evidence.

From our pharmacist’s overview on the Sirolimus (albumin bound) page
“Fyarro, the albumin-bound form of sirolimus used to treat advanced malignant PEComa, a rare cancer, is a medication I would guard carefully from supplement interference, and the 171 ingredients on this page show why. Most of them (121 through the CYP3A4 enzyme, 37 through the P-glycoprotein transporter) can shift how much sirolimus act…”
