Here's the gist for combining shepherd's purse with aripiprazole (Abilify). This isn't about how your body breaks the drug down. Instead, the concern is that both can have a calming or sedating effect. Aripiprazole can already make some people feel drowsy, tired, or a little foggy, and shepherd's purse may add a mild sedative push of its own. Stacked together, you could feel sleepier or more lightheaded than usual.

I'll be honest, this is a theoretical caution drawn from how these substances behave, not from strong human studies, so for most people it's unlikely to be a big deal. Aripiprazole treats several mental health conditions. It is approved for schizophrenia, acute manic and mixed episodes of Bipolar I Disorder, and as an add-on to antidepressants for Major Depressive Disorder.
