Here's the simple version: Clobazam (Onfi, Sympazan) is a benzodiazepine that calms brain activity, so it naturally makes many people feel drowsy, foggy, or unsteady. Some traditional reports suggest shepherd's purse may have a mild sedative or relaxing effect of its own. If that's true, pairing the two could, in theory, stack those calming effects and leave you more tired, dizzy, or sluggish than usual.

I want to be honest about the evidence here, though. This is a theoretical concern based on how these substances might behave, not something proven in real people. Shepherd's purse doesn't change how clobazam is broken down. Still, since clobazam already causes sedation, it's worth mentioning to your pharmacist or doctor and watching for extra drowsiness if you ever combine them.

Clobazam is used as an add-on (adjunctive) treatment for seizures linked to Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome (LGS), a severe form of childhood-onset epilepsy. It is approved for patients 2 years of age and older.

This indication applies to all available forms: Sympazan (dissolving oral film), Onfi (tablets and oral suspension), and generic clobazam tablets and oral suspension.
