Here's the gist with shepherd's purse and oxycodone. Some lab and animal reports hint that shepherd's purse may have a mild calming or sedative-type effect. Oxycodone is a strong opioid pain reliever that already slows down the brain and body, causing drowsiness, slowed breathing, dizziness, and constipation. The worry is simply that stacking the two could add up, leaving you more sleepy or foggy than expected.

Keep in mind this is theoretical, based on how the herb might behave rather than solid human studies, so I wouldn't lose sleep over it. Still, since oxycodone is a serious medication, it's smart to mention any herbal product to your pharmacist or doctor before combining them, and watch for extra drowsiness.
