Here's the thing to know about sufentanil (Dsuvia): it's a very strong opioid pain reliever that already slows down your brain and breathing on its own. Shepherd's purse has been reported to have some mild sedative or calming effects, so the concern here is that pairing the two could add up. In plain terms, you might feel extra drowsy, foggy, or dizzy, and in a worst-case situation breathing could slow more than it should.

I want to be honest though: this interaction is theoretical, based on how these things behave rather than real patient studies, so the actual risk with shepherd's purse is probably small. Sufentanil isn't a prodrug, so the herb doesn't change how it's activated. Still, since sufentanil is so potent, please run this by your doctor or pharmacist before combining them.
