Swamp Milkweed is a native North American wetland plant best known today as a butterfly and pollinator garden plant, not a proven medicine. It contains toxic milky sap with cardiac glycoside-like compounds, and there is very little reliable human research to support any health use. Because of its potential toxicity, it should not be used as a supplement without professional guidance.

About Treprostinil Injection

What Is Treprostinil Injection Used For?

Brand name: Remodulin

Treprostinil injection is used to treat pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH, WHO Group 1) — high blood pressure in the arteries of the lungs — to reduce symptoms during exercise. It has been studied in patients with moderate to severe PAH symptoms (NYHA Class II–IV) caused by idiopathic or heritable PAH, PAH linked to congenital heart defects, or PAH associated with connective tissue diseases.

It is also used for patients with PAH who need to transition off epoprostenol (another PAH medicine), to slow the rate of disease worsening during that switch. The benefits and risks of transitioning should be carefully weighed by the prescriber.
