Canagliflozin, Metformin falls under ANTIDIABETES DRUGS — the group Terminalia interacts with.

Theoretically, concomitant use of Terminalia bellirica or Terminalia chebula with antidiabetes drugs could affect blood sugar control and increase the risk of hypoglycemia.
Animal and in vitro research shows that Terminalia bellirica and Terminalia chebula fruit and seed extract have hypoglycemic effects.

Here's the simple version: Invokamet already does the heavy lifting of lowering your blood sugar, with canagliflozin pushing sugar out through your urine and metformin reducing how much sugar your liver makes. Certain Terminalia species (specifically Terminalia bellirica and Terminalia chebula) may have a mild blood-sugar-lowering effect of their own. Stack the two together and, in theory, your numbers could dip lower than expected, raising the chance of hypoglycemia (shakiness, sweating, dizziness, confusion, or feeling weak).

I want to be honest about the evidence, though. This is based mostly on lab and animal studies, not real people, so it's more of a heads-up than an alarm. If you'd like to try Terminalia, just loop in your pharmacist or doctor first and keep an eye on your glucose readings.
