Capmatinib Hydrochloride falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Terminalia interacts with.

Theoretically, use of Terminalia arjuna may increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Terminalia arjuna extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes and reduces CYP3A4 substrate metabolism.

Here's the gist for your cancer medication, Tabrecta (capmatinib). Your body relies on an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break this drug down. Lab studies suggest that Terminalia arjuna may slow that same enzyme. If it does, capmatinib could clear out more slowly and build up in your system, which can mean stronger side effects. With capmatinib that might look like more nausea, vomiting, swelling in the arms or legs, fatigue, or changes in liver and lung function.

I want to be honest about the strength of this concern: it comes only from test-tube research, not real patients, so it's theoretical. Still, because capmatinib is a serious cancer therapy, please check with your oncologist or pharmacist before adding Terminalia.

Tabrecta (capmatinib) is used to treat adults with metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) — lung cancer that has spread to other parts of the body. It is only for patients whose tumors have a specific genetic change called a MET exon 14 skipping mutation, which must be confirmed by an FDA-approved test before starting treatment.
