Mometasone falls under CYTOCHROME P450 3A4 (CYP3A4) SUBSTRATES — the group Terminalia interacts with.

Theoretically, use of Terminalia arjuna may increase the levels and clinical effects of CYP3A4 substrates.
In vitro research shows that Terminalia arjuna extract inhibits CYP3A4 enzymes and reduces CYP3A4 substrate metabolism.

Here's the gist with mometasone (Elocon cream or Asmanex inhaler) and Terminalia arjuna. Your liver uses an enzyme called CYP3A4 to break mometasone down. Lab studies suggest Terminalia may slow that enzyme a bit, which in theory could let a little more mometasone hang around in your body.

I want to be honest about how thin this evidence is. It comes only from test-tube research, not real people, so we don't know if it matters in everyday use. With creams especially, very little gets absorbed, so the risk is low. If you used the inhaler often or applied a lot of cream over large areas, more steroid in the system could mean side effects like easy bruising or mood and blood sugar changes. Just give your pharmacist a heads-up before combining them.

Mometasone Furoate topical products are used to relieve the inflammation and itching (pruritus) that come with corticosteroid-responsive dermatoses — a broad category of skin conditions that respond to steroid treatment.

Mometasone Furoate Topical Solution (Lotion) is specifically indicated for these skin conditions in patients 12 years of age and older. Mometasone Furoate cream may be used in adults and in children 2 years of age and older.
